Sacred Learning
Every interaction we have with one another is a joining or sharing of energy. This is why we feel a variety of emotions when we are interacting with others.
When we share negative energy, through our thoughts, opinions, and actions, it strengthens the ego in us and in others. When we use aggression, force and manipulation, it produces more egoic energy, in the form of anger, fear and resentment.
The purpose of education is to provide our children with an environment that will allow them to tap into the Divine Spirit that dwells within, and then help them use that Spirit to identify their gifts, talents and purpose in life.
This Divine Spirit is the source of all of the positive energy that we have inside. When we feed the ego we starve the Spirit and vice versa.
The word “inspire” means to be “In Spirit.”
When we inspire our children we share with them the positive energy that is inside us, through our positive thoughts and actions, which feeds the Divine Spirit in them. The more our children identify with the Spirit inside themselves, the greater their connection to the gifts and talents with which they are blessed.
Being connected to Spirit also motivates our children to use those gifts to be a blessing to others. When the ego inside our children is strong, however, they have a very difficult time finding their special gifts, and when they do find these gifts they use them for personal gain.
It is our responsibility, as parents and teachers, to insure that our interactions with our children (and the examples that we set for them) feeds the Spirit in them and not the ego.
The goal of a spiritually based approach to education is to provide our children with an environment (both at home and at school) that helps them to connect with the divine essence that animates and nurtures us all.
Helping our children tap into this magnificent source enables them to discover their unique gifts and talents and creates a space for their life’s purpose to unfold.
In the spiritually centered educational community parents, teachers, and all other care givers grow themselves so that they can then light a path for their students.
They work together to ignite and nurture the passion within each and every child so that they can become loving, conscious, creative contributors and be a blessing to the world.
